Two new Retro Holidays-themed fabrics I designed are now available at Spoonflower.com. (I also have matching gifts, stationery, cards, invitations, envelopes, and binders at Zazzle.) Perfect for all your holiday sewing projects! (I have some cut-and-sew projects using this pattern in the pipeline, too.)

The design shown above was my most complicated design yet to create, due to all of the layers. It is 100% created from scratch, and even the background (shown below) is a repeating pattern, so there will be no seams in the pattern on the final fabric. I drew each of the different ornaments by hand, and created a repeating pattern from them shown above.

The printed fabric comes out slightly lighter than the original designs—it’s part of the design process (not a flaw) and overall I’m very happy with the way they look. The ornaments are fairly large (2″ diameter) which is fine for something big like a tree skirt or place mats.

These two coordinating fabrics would make cute table runners, napkins and place mats, Christmas stockings, tree skirts, holiday aprons, hanging banners and decorations, and more.
